Multiple Product Recalls Hit Australia: Snacks, Aldi Milk and Baby Toys
Australian shoppers are being urged to check their fridges, pantries and toy boxes after a string of product recalls over the past few days. The list includes protein puddings sold at major supermarkets, a long-life milk from Aldi, a baby walker and a popular toddler toy. Here’s what’s affected and what to do if you have any of them at home.
Arla Protein Puddings Recalled Over Glass
Arla Foods Mayer Australia has recalled two of its protein puddings after glass fragments were found in the products. The affected items are the Arla Protein Salted Caramel Flavour Pudding 200g with a best-before date of 28/04/2027 and the Arla Protein Chocolate Flavour Pudding 200g with a best-before date of 09/05/2027. The puddings were sold at Coles, Costco and IGA stores in New South Wales, the ACT and Queensland. Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) warns that food containing glass can cause illness or injury, so customers should not eat them and should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. For more information, contact Arla Foods Mayer Australia on +61 2 9669 2211.
Aldi Farmdale Long Life Milk Pulled From Shelves
Aldi has recalled its Farmdale Full Cream Long Life Milk 1L due to microbial contamination, described as spoilage. The affected milk has a best-before date of 5 June 2027 and was sold at Aldi stores and online in Victoria and South Australia. Long-life milk is heat-treated to stay shelf-stable for months, so spoilage means microbes have grown in a product that should have been sterile. Customers should not drink the milk and can return it to any Aldi store for a full refund. Anyone with questions can call the Aldi Food Recall Hotline on 1800 709 993.
Playpals Baby Walker Recalled Over Stair Fall Risk
Sun Yee International has recalled the Playpals 3-in-1 baby walker (SKU KID1029) because it doesn’t meet the mandatory safety standard designed to stop walkers from falling down stairs. If the walker tips over a step, a baby could fall and suffer serious injury or even death. It was sold nationally between 4 July 2025 and 7 October 2026 through eBay, Lasoo and the Kogan, Big W, Kmart and Harvey Norman online marketplaces. Parents should stop using the walker immediately and contact the supplier about a refund.
Montessori UFO Toy Poses Choking Hazard
The Laughing Koala has recalled its Montessori UFO Pull & Pop toy (model number MT033516) over a choking risk to young children. The toy was sold between 8 November 2024 and 21 July 2026 and has since been removed from the retailer’s website. Parents are urged to stop using the toy right away and keep it out of reach of children until they arrange a return.
What You Should Do
If you have any of these products at home, stop using them straight away. Food items can be returned to the store where you bought them for a full refund, and anyone who has eaten a recalled food and feels unwell should seek medical advice. For baby products, contact the seller or supplier directly about a refund. It’s also worth checking the FSANZ and ACCC Product Safety websites regularly, as new recalls are added every week.
